Who This System Is For

If your fleet includes excavators, dozers, or motor graders, over-excavation, downtime, and rework are costing you money every day.

Road Construction Companies

Build the road base and every layer to the specified thickness. Keep aggregate and asphalt consumption within budget.

General Contractors

Rely less on survey staking at every stage. Stay on schedule and pass inspections without rework.

Earthworks Contractors

Excavate foundations and trenches and complete grading in a single pass—without interim surveys or waiting for a surveyor.

Quarries and Mining Operations

Build accurate benches, pads, and haul roads. Monitor elevations directly from the cab.

Equipment Rental Fleets

A machine equipped with 3D grade control strengthens tender bids and supports a higher rental rate.

Why Trimble Is a Smart Investment for Your Fleet

01

Over-Excavation and Material Waste

The bucket removes exactly what is required. The attachment holds the design grade with millimetre-level accuracy, preventing excess use of aggregate, concrete, and asphalt.

02

Downtime While Waiting for Surveyors

Your machines no longer wait for staking. The 3D project model is already in the cab, eliminating stakes, batter boards, and interim surveys.

03

Slow Earthworks

Work 30–50% faster. Fewer passes and less rework mean completing the same volume in fewer shifts.

04

Excess Fuel Use and Wear

Get the result on the first pass. Fewer machine hours per cubic metre of material reduce fuel consumption and equipment wear.

05

Shortage of Skilled Operators

Less experienced operators can achieve expert-level results. The system prevents cutting below design grade and the rework that follows.

06

Limited Jobsite Visibility

See elevations in real time. The system records completed work, giving supervisors a digital view of the surface without waiting for an as-built survey.

How Trimble Automated Grade Control Works

Trimble Earthworks display showing a 3D project model inside the cab
01

Work directly from a 3D project model loaded into the system

The machine sees the entire design surface. Stakes, batter boards, and a surveyor stationed beside the machine are no longer required.

02

Automatic attachment control with Trimble Earthworks: the excavator operator controls the stick while the system manages the boom and bucket to follow the design

Achieve a smooth surface on the first pass, even with a moderately experienced operator. Over-excavation and unnecessary material removal are eliminated.

03

Two positioning options: GLONASS/GPS receivers with a base station, or a Universal Total Station (UTS) tracking a prism mounted on the machine

The system performs on open sites and in applications that demand maximum elevation control. We select the right configuration for each project.

04

Fast-response angle and acceleration sensors from the Earthworks generation; dozer receivers mount on the cab roof, with no masts or cables on the blade

The system responds instantly to terrain changes and keeps the blade stable. Less vulnerable hardware is exposed outside the machine.

05

An in-cab Android touchscreen—in an Earthworks configuration, the Trimble TSC7

Operators see the design, machine position, and cut/fill values on one screen. The tablet-like interface is intuitive for operators at any experience level.

06

Configurations for every application: 2D Laser and Sonic, 3D Single and Dual GNSS, 3D UTS, and FLEX

Choose a package to match the application and budget, from simple planes and slopes in 2D to full 3D model-based operation.

07

Automatic data exchange between the machine and the office

Design updates and progress reports transfer automatically—no USB drives or trips to the jobsite required.

Compatible Equipment

Excavator equipped with Trimble Earthworks on a construction site01

Excavators

The operator controls the stick while the system keeps the boom and bucket on design. Excavate foundations, trenches, and slopes without over-digging.

Dozer equipped with Trimble Earthworks moving soil02

Dozers

The blade automatically maintains design grade for first-pass grading. A mastless configuration keeps receivers and cables off the blade.

Motor grader equipped with Trimble Earthworks grading a road03

Motor Graders

Build profiles and slopes precisely to design, producing a finished base without manual touch-ups.

We also install systems on compactors, asphalt pavers, milling machines, concrete pavers, skid-steer loaders, and wheel loaders. A SITECH specialist will recommend the right configuration.

What Customers Say After Installing the System

«It is too expensive»

We Stopped Giving Aggregate Away

We thought the system was an expensive gadget. After the first project, we compared actual aggregate use with the estimate and realized how much material we had lost to over-excavation over the years. The system made its own business case.

MSMarat S.Road Construction Manager
«Our operators will not learn it»

They Learned Faster Than Expected

We expected resistance to having a computer in the cab. In practice, the display was easier to use than a smartphone. Within a few shifts, the team was working in automatic mode and did not want to return to grading by eye.

DADaniyar A.Equipment Operations Manager
«We already have a surveyor»

One Surveyor Now Covers Three Sites

Previously, someone with a grade rod stood beside every machine. We no longer stake out work for the equipment, so the surveyor can handle surveys and quality control across three sites at once.

AKArman K.Chief Engineer
«Quality is checked at handover»

Accepted on the First Inspection

Elevations were within tolerance across the entire area, with no issues at handover. We used to reserve entire shifts for touch-ups after levelling checks.

NBNurlan B.Project Manager
«They will disappear after the sale»

Support Continued After the Sale

We were concerned about being left alone with the technology. SITECH installed and calibrated the equipment, trained our operators, and answers questions quickly. The system is working instead of sitting idle.

YTYermek T.Technical Director
«We want to try it first»

We Rented It—Then Kept It

We rented the system for one project to verify the numbers. By the end, it was clear that returning to stakes made no sense, so we purchased it.
